EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: I have my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and have been licensed for 2 years as a Marriage and Family therapist. I have worked for several years with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families with a strong focus on personal acceptance, self-compassion, and resolution of internal conflict whether it be based in trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, relationship strain, or lack of direction and focus in one’s life.
TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: My intention is to offer guidance rather than instruct clients what they need to do, the therapeutic process is a collaborative one. The most effective therapy is based on utilizing the modalities and tools that most resonate with the client and feel like something that may best serve them. I like to pull from several different evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, DBT, and EFT all means of shifting from what is no longer serving us to what can benefit us.
