I co-authored the book, “Why She Feels Fat: Understanding Your Loved One’s Eating Disorder and How You Can Help” to assist families in better understanding and responding to their loved one’s eating disorder. My approach to treating anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder utilizes a combination of education, cognitive therapy, and experiential activities.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I believe in full recovery from eating disorders. Because of the complexities of these illness one approach to treatment is insufficient. Instead, when I develop a treatment plan it is based on the unique needs of the patient and his or her family. The core elements of our program include:

  • Family Support Groups
  • Nutrition Therapy
  • Psychiatric Services

I believe that recovery is possible. Recovery is living a life you were meant to live and letting go of the fears that feed your eating disorder. Life away from your eating disorder has trials and struggles but is also full of love and connection to others. Life free from your eating disorder allows you to engage with others experience life to its fullest.
