Yes, I feel you can recover from an eating disorder and I define recovery as: I believe it is possible to BE IN recovery from an eating disorder, but that we must remain diligent in self-care in order to propel continued health. New patterns and thoughts are essential to the recovery process and I believe that with treatment and support individuals can overcome the obstacles they face, however, I also believe that it is a life-long process because we life in a community with many influences and experiences.
