EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: RD and BS in Nutrition from UC Berkeley-1991; MS in Nutrition from San Jose State Univ-1996; Certificate in Eating Disorders from John F. Kennedy Univ-2003; Certified Eating Disorders Dietitian from IAEDP-2015; Approved Supervisor from IAEDP-2019, ongoing eating disorder and counseling continuing education. Worked with clients in the out patient setting as well as intensive out patient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP programs).

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: We start where clients are at and move towards having a good relationship with food and body, incorporating nutrition support from family and client’s community as appropriate. I utilize Family Based Nutrition Therapy, Health @ Every Size philosophy and non-diet approach when appropriate. Meal plans are developed as needed. Meal, snack and shopping support as needed.

One can recover from an eating disorder. Recovery includes physical, mental, spiritual and community health. I Recovery is when the body, brain and soul are healthy and eating thoughts and behaviors don’t take up much time and energy allowing one to get their life back and thrive.
