Stanford Eating Disorders Research Program is recruiting for an ongoing Anorexia Nervosa Family Based Treatment Study.
This study is a virtual treatment study for adolescents aged 12-18 with Anorexia Nervosa. The study consists of up to 9 months of treatment, followed by two follow-up assessments. Families will be randomly assigned to receive one of two previously tested forms of Family Based Treatment, the gold-standard treatment for adolescents with anorexia. Families may be assigned to either standard Family Based Treatment via teleconferencing (involving meetings with all members of the household), or a Guided Self-Help version of Family Based Treatment (involving meetings with parents only) over the 9 months. Families will also receive assessments and questionnaires throughout the duration of the study.
