TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I work with adult patients who have eating disorders. I feel treatment works best when part of a multidisciplinary approach (ie: Therapist, MD, Psychiatrist, Dietitian). I use our first session to assess the patient and to establish an ongoing relationship. I work at the pace of the patient and make slow, gradual nutrition changes. I believe recovery from an eating disorder is absolutely possible. I define recovery as separating emotions from food and establishing a healthy relationship with food, which includes intuitive eating, that is non-harming to the body.
