CREDENTIALS/DISCIPLINE: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

BOARD CERTIFIED: No

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Number of years treating patients with eating disorders: 15+ years

Number of patients with eating disorders I treat annually: 5-10

EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: I began helping clients overcome eating disorders and other psychological difficulties over fifteen years ago. Working in residential treatment, hospital-based treatment, and outpatient settings, I have witnessed innumerable stories of recovery and resilience.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: My approach is warm, practical, and down-to-earth. I use evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to maximize the benefits for my clients. I also integrate well-researched mindfulness-based treatments into our sessions, as appropriate.

Recovery from an eating disorder is indeed possible. Recovery is feeling at home in your body, practicing self-compassion, and engaging with life, love and food without the burden of constant vigilance, self-criticism, or fear. If this is the life that you want, you can move in that direction today; feel free to schedule a free phone consultation on my website to see how I can help.
