Researchers at UNC Chapel Hill are looking for volunteers with a history of disordered eating to participate in a new research study, the Eating Disorders Genetics Initiative (EDGI). It is the largest-ever genome-wide association study for eating disorders. EDGI will create the blueprint to identify the causes of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. All eligible participants will receive a $20 gift card at the end of the study.
By taking saliva samples, the research team will learn how genes influence risks for bulimia nervosa, binge-eating disorder, and anorexia nervosa. You can click here to learn more and participate!
