I am a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, and the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, as well as the Behavioral Health and Pediatric practice groups of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: Recovery from an eating disorder is possible! I offer a discreet, nonjudgmental and professional approach, starting with getting to know you-where you are on your journey, and learning what it is that you need. The ultimate goal is to achieve a healthy relationship with food, exercise and body image, and good physical and emotional health. I educate on nutrition and exercise when needed, support in whatever way is needed (meal support, meal plans, etc.), and guide you based on your readiness to make changes. I am happy to work with your therapist and doctor, or refer you to them if needed, to create a support team for you.

Recovery includes the following:

-Good physical and nutritional health
-Being in tune with one’s hunger and fullness signals,
-Healthy, (non-food related) coping with stressors and triggers
-A healthy, non-fearful, relationship with food,
-Healthy body image and respect for one’s body

-Small portion of the day spent thinking about food/weight
