Worked with eating disorders: Worked on both an Adolescent Psychiatric Unit and an Eating Disorder Unit in the 1980’s treating both individuals and families. Concurrently began a private practice. Worked one year upon move to CA at a Women’s Hospital and in my private practice treating eating disorders. My dissertation study was on the correlation between eating disorders, history of abuse, and symptoms of dissociation. My full vitae is on my website.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I have been trained in all methods in the treatment of eating disorders. Cognitive-behavioral, biological, skills, psychodynamic, analytic, and family systems. I currently like in my private practice to work long-term and twice or more times a week. In this work I employ working in the transference in the therapy.

Yes, I think it is possible to recover from an eating disorder and define recovery as: where the patient has developed the ego strength and skills so that they have an alternative choice other than the eating disorder in dealing with their difficulties.

FEES: Cash, Personal Checks, if “Provider out of the network” in a PPO, patient needs to apply for reimbursement.
