TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY:I approach eating disorder treatment with tremendous respect and compassion. I believe that everyone I work with has innate wisdom, courage, strength, and resiliency that will lead them towards health and healing. It is my job to help them recognize their strengths, tune into their wisdom, reconnect with their vitality and purpose, and replace their ED behaviors, thoughts, beliefs, and urges with healthier, more sustainable methods of coping with life’s difficulties. To support this process, I draw on many different modalities including CBT, ACT, DBT, somatic and mindfulness based therapies, Gestalt, expressive arts, and psychodynamic theories. Regardless of the specific method I am using, my style is always relational, warm, honest, and respectful.
