CREDENTIALS/DISCIPLINE: Registered Dietitian

BOARD CERTIFIED: No

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Number of years treating patients with eating disorders: 2-5 years

Number of patients with eating disorders I treat annually: 15+

EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: I have my Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from San Diego State University. I completed my Dietetic Internship through Iowa State University. I volunteered and interned at Center for Discovery and in-patient hospital with an IOP eating disorder program. I have since worked in-patient with Reasons Center (at their Fremont location) and have been in private practice for eating disorders and disordered eating for over two years now. I have also worked in general clinical at a long term acute care facility for 5 years.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY:I work from the intuitive eating framework (when appropriate) and weight-inclusive approaches. I help clients in healing their relationship with food and body by working through food anxieties, body image and and nutrition education based in curiosity, self compassion and kindness. I like to build gentle meal plans with clients so they can have consistent nutrition support while their body heals from the eating disorder/disordered eating patterns but while always meeting the client where they are at.

FEES: Cash, Credit Cards, Payment Plan, Sliding Scale and Pro-Bono slots done through Project Heal
