CREDENTIALS/DISCIPLINE: Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

BOARD CERTIFIED: Yes — CA BBS

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Number of years treating patients with eating disorders: 5-8 years

Number of patients with eating disorders I treat annually: 10-15

EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: IFS Level 1 certification. Frequently attend IAEDP and other ED-related trainings. Advanced training in multiple therapy models. Graduated in 2005 from Fuller Theological Seminary with an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I primarily use an Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach in supporting those in recovery from eating disorders. I am a fat positive therapist and a HAES provider. Cultural-Relational Therapy is the additional model that I use to uproot and unburden internalized toxic societal messaging, such as diet culture and weight stigma. My goal is to support those in recovery with their path to peace with food and body liberation.
