Join the National Alliance for Eating Disorders and Monte Nido for a virtual training August 7th on the topic of healing metabolism, breaking free from food fear, and challenging weight stigma.
“Eating disorders are frequently accompanied by metabolic disruptions — insulin resistance, PCOS, dyslipidemia, cardiovascular changes — yet weight bias in healthcare often obscures how these conditions are recognized and treated. This presentation introduces how all foods fit, a weight-inclusive, food-neutral framework, as a foundation for both metabolic recovery and psychological healing in eating disorder treatment. Attendees will examine the metabolic threads common across eating disorders, the pervasive impact of weight stigma on clinical care and patient outcomes and why reversing weight suppression — not pursuing weight loss — is central to recovery. The session closes with practical strategies for integrating these principles into a metabolic, weight-inclusive treatment model.”
