EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: I have strong clinical training from UC Davis, Oregon Health Sciences University and the University of Oregon. I was a member of the University of Oregon’s Eating Disorder Treatment Team for four years, and I currently work with Kaiser Permanente’s outpatient eating disorder program.
TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I am a dietitian who uses a Health at Every Size(R) approach with each of my clients. I personalize treatment recommendations to each client and apply a social justice framework, while incorporating an evidence-based and multi-disciplinary treatment team approach.
Clients can recover from eating disorders. Recovery from an eating disorder is not based solely on weight, but instead is realized with the client is able to eat mindfully and intuitively, when they have regained normal biochemical markers for health and growth for children, and when they are able to comfortably navigate their food environment when alone and in social situations.
