EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science from UC Berkeley before completing my Dietetic Internship and Masters of Science in
Dietetics & Nutrition at Tufts University. I have 10 years of experience in clinical nutrition, community wellness and nutrition education promoting cultural competencies. My writings have been featured in numerous publications, media outlets and podcasts including Real Simple, Good Housekeeping, MSN, WellSeek Collective, Mx. Asian American, The Hotpot and many more. I co-authored and published a toolkit with Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum on designing culturally-responsive nutrition programs in the community setting. Moreover, I have been a speaker for several universities and national organizations within the United States, sharing about food, culture and social factors that impact healthcare in Asian Pacific Islander populations.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: In my private practice, I focus providing weight-inclusive nutrition counseling to Asians and Pacific Islanders (AAPI), and cultivating awareness of disordered eating behaviors within the AAPI communities. My treatment philosophy focuses on the person. I empower my clients to nurture more wholesome relationships with food and movements, and incorporate self-compassion into their daily lives. Because of my own background as an immigrant, I understand the importance of respecting and incorporating cultural practices for AAPI communities. My goal through my practice is to create a weight-inclusive environment for Asians and Pacific Islanders to focus on cultivating their true mind-body health. My approach is informed by various principles including Health At Every Size ®, Intuitive Eating ®, Trauma-Informed Care and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.
