EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE:

I’m a registered dietitian, nutrition therapist, and certified intuitive eating counselor with nearly a decade of experience in Marin County, California. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I specialize in eating disorder recovery, disordered eating, and body image concerns  – and helping clients break free from the mental, emotional, and physical toll of chronic dieting. Ultimately, I help clients nurture a caring and compassionate relationship with food and their bodies through a non-weight focused, non-diet approach.

I graduated cum laude from Boston University’s Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and completed my dietetic training at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. I received a Masters of Science from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. Further professional training was through the completion of Wellcoaches Core Coach Training Program, Body Image Training for Clinicians, Nutrition Counseling for Eating Disorders, Clinical Approaches To Treating Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorder, and The Original Intuitive Eating Pros® certification process to become a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, among others. Adding to my unique background, I’ve completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through h3 Yoga in Marin County, California and frequently speak on body image, embodiment, intuitive eating, Health at Every Size® (HAES), and eating disorders. I’m currently working towards certification to become a Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDRD) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp).

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults at my office in Mill Valley, California and online via a secure video platform. In my client sessions, I create a safe, judgement free, therapeutic space where you can come, process, and learn how to kindly be with (and in) your body. And where you can learn how to cultivate an enjoyable, healthy, and nourishing relationship with food. In our work together, you’ll gain an understanding of how to truly listen, connect, and care for your body and yourself. In my client work, I use a variety of tools, techniques, resources, and therapeutic approaches to help clients nurture a healthy relationship with food, mind, and body, including but not limited to: nutrition education and science, intuitive eating practices, somatics, self-compassion, body image healing tools, the Health at Every Size® (HAES) approach, embodiment practices, self-care, and various self-coaching techniques. Most importantly, I believe full eating disorder recovery is possible.
