EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: I have over a decade of experience in the treatment of eating disorders, beginning with a practicum training experience at Renfrew Center and more recently including roles as Clinical Director at Aspire Wellness Center (an eating disorder PHP and IOP) and at Eating Recovery Center of California (an eating disorder PHP and IOP). I have been involved in providing supervision in eating disorder treatment for almost 10 years and have spent 5 years engaged in program development for eating disorder programs.
TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: Eating disorder treatment needs to address the whole person, including any issues that are contributing to the struggle with weight, food, or body image. Treatment is most effective when there is collaboration among a multidisciplinary treatment team. I believe in meeting a person where they are in the process of change, identifying obstacles to recovery and addressing these obstacles, and providing both skills and support throughout the recovery process.
