EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE:

I have a Masters in Public Health Nutrition from UC Berkeley where I completed my concurrent Dietetic Internship. I’ve worked extensively in the field of eating disorders as an outpatient dietitian for over 10 years with advanced training including through IAEDP and EDRDPRO. I am a mindfulness-based registered dietitian nutritionist, founded the Mindful Eating Training Institute where I train, mentor and offer supervision to health professionals in evidence-based programs, and provide counseling, coaching and education to the public in Mindful Eating and freedom from disordered eating in my private practice. As a Mindful Eating Expert, Dietitian and Well Nourished Coach I offer an integrative whole person approach to treatment and the transformational journey to healing and wholeness. I am also a certified ecotherapist , certified mindfulness meditation teacher and certified yoga instructor and author of the book, “Well Nourished”.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY:

Andrea takes a non-diet, evidence-based mindful eating, self-compassion and mindfulness-based whole person approach to freedom from disordered eating, informed by Health at Every Size® (HAES®), mindful eating, intuitive eating, mindful self-compassion (MSC), mind-body medicine, ecotherapy and advanced eating disorder treatment training. She works with individuals to have more peace, balance, self-compassion and joy in their relationship with food, nutrition, body-image, and stress-related issues and health concerns or whom simply want to bring their lives back into balance and vibrancy through mindful eating and living.
