Learn with EDRC

Eating Disorders Resource Center is proud to offer free educational presentations, trainings, and workshops to professionals and community members on the topic of eating disorders and body image.

In the past, we have presented to middle and high school students, educators, athletic coaches, mental health practitioners, medical and dental professionals and other populations who want to increase their knowledge of eating disorders.

EDRC's new program manager Renée Cooper shares about EDRC with the ladies of the Lantern League.

Our team is happy to tailor our programming to your specific population, bringing in expert speakers and developing materials that are relevant and accessible to the particular audience. Examples include…

  • Training for dentists on the intersection of eating disorders and oral health, providing information on how to recognize eating disorders from a patient’s oral health, and how to effectively intervene.
  • Presentations for sports medicine physicians on how to identify eating disorders among student athletes, and how to intervene, including fostering healthy approaches to weight and exercise among high-performing athletes.
  • Workshops for middle school, high school, and college students on body image, media, and self-esteem.
  • Presentations for LGBTQ+ organizations on recognizing eating disorders in Queer populations, and the intersection of eating disorders and gender affirming care.
