EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERTISE: I graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2016 with a Master’s in Marital and Family Therapy (Medical Family Therapy emphasis). For almost 5 years, I have worked as a therapist for Community Presbyterian Counseling Center, counseling adults, adolescents, and families on issues including: anxiety, depression, eating disorders, family of origin issues, relationship issues/conflict, OCD, phase of life/transitions, adjustment, and more. For approx 1.5 years I worked concurrently for Cielo House, and their adult PHP/IOP eating disorder recovery treatment program in San Jose, CA. Since then, eating disorders have been my speciality.
TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY: I am a believer that the primary contributing factor to a successful therapy experience is the relationship between the client and therapist. I work to cater my approach to your unique needs, experiences, and personality. My goal is to partner with you in the healing process, and part of that includes closely collaborating with all providers within your treatment team, as appropriate (doctors, dietitians, psychiatrists, etc).
