TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY:

We know that recovery from an eating disorder is possible, because we have seen it happen time and time again. However, many will struggle in the beginning of treatment because the program structure can seem overpowering, and real change takes time. Fully overcoming eating disorder behaviors and learning to effectively cope with the underlying causes is a challenging process. We try our very hardest to provide the support and motivation you need to stay committed to your recovery.

Because eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder are caused by a variety of psychological, environmental, and interpersonal factors, we believe that a patient’s best chance at recovery occurs when the treatment experience is individually tailored and client-centered. To help participants be more self-sufficient and learn healthy behaviors, we teach them how to shop and prepare their own meals under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian. We also limit enrollment in our programs so that the supervised meal groups, individual therapy, individual meal planning, process groups and holistic activities will Our Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient program curriculums help them to rebuild their self-esteem and self-worth by allowing them to interact in experiential activities like Equine Assisted Therapy, Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga, and weekly meal outings. Our multi-disciplinary team’s treatment approach focuses on diagnosing and working to resolve the underlying causes that often drive eating disorder behaviors, such as past trauma, poor body image, peer and media pressure to look a certain way, low self-esteem, and difficulty with interpersonal relationships. Lifetime Continuing Care is provided to all of our graduates so that support is always available.
