Certified in Internal Family Systems therapy. Eating Disorders are very personal to me so I have a lot of experience with this population. I know the struggle well.
Additionally I have taken seminars on eating disorders and given presentations on eating disorders. I have also lead groups for this population.
My philosophy is one of unconditional acceptance. Teaching clients that philosophy and helping them find their voice in the midst of the constant barrage of the eating disorder voice with self acceptance.
I think it is possible to recover from an eating disorder. Recovery is a process that ebbs and flows as the person gains more understanding, self worth, and compassion toward oneself.
