Recovery from an eating disorder is possible! I offer a discreet, nonjudgmental and professional approach, starting with getting to know you-where you are on your journey, and learning what it is that you need. The ultimate goal is to achieve a healthy relationship with food, exercise and body image, and good physical and emotionall health. I educate on nutrition and exercise when needed, support in whatever way is needed (meal support, meal plans, etc.), and guide you based on your readiness to make changes. I am happy to work with your therapist and doctor, or refer you to them if needed, to create a support team for you.
Recovery includes the following:
-Being in tune with one’s hunger and fullness signals,
-Healthy, (non-food related) coping with stressors and triggers
-A healthy, non-fearful, relationship with food,
-Healthy body image and respect for one’s body
-Small portion of the day spent thinking about food/weight
